Day 2 - Hanoi to Sapa

The evening is yours to enjoy the crisp mountain air and stroll through the vibrant Sapa town center.

Day 3 - Sapa, Vietnam

Today is yours to discover the rugged beauty of the northern highlands at your own pace. You might take the funicular and cable car up to the peak of Mount Fansipan - the "Roof of Indochina" - for panoramic views of the Muong Hoa Valley. Alternatively, wander through the local markets to see the intricate handmade textiles of the Black Hmong and Red Dao communities.

Day 4 - Sapa to Hanoi

Take a final morning to soak in the views of the stepped rice terraces before traveling back to Hanoi. Upon arrival, settle back into the Grand Mercure Hanoi and enjoy a relaxing evening in the heart of the city. You might choose to sample a bowl of authentic northern-style pho at a local eatery or enjoy the hotel's premium amenities.

Day 5 - Hanoi Sightseeing

Experience the "Paris of the East" like a local on a traditional cyclo tour through the 36 Streets of the Old Quarter. Your guided day includes visits to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum complex, the iconic One Pillar Pagoda, and the serene Temple of Literature. You will finish the afternoon with a walk around the legendary Hoan Kiem Lake, the spiritual heart of the city.

Day 6 - Hanoi to Ha Long Bay (Embarkation)

Travel to the coast and board the Au Co for a luxury two-night cruise through the World Heritage-listed Ha Long Bay. Day 9 - Siem Hanoi to Siem Reap, Cambodia

Trade the bustle of Vietnam for the spiritual heart of Cambodia as you fly to Siem Reap. You will check into the Shinta Mani Angkor, an upscale retreat designed by Bill Bensley that offers an idyllic oasis in the historic French Quarter. Spend your afternoon relaxing by the pool or exploring the nearby Old Market and "Pub Street" area.

Day 10 - Angkor Wat Sunrise & Ta Prohm, Cambodia

Rise before dawn for a guided sunrise tour of the iconic five towers of Angkor Wat, the largest religious monument in the world. Later, wander through the jungle-tangled ruins of Ta Prohm, where massive fig trees have literally grown through the ancient stone walls. The afternoon is yours to enjoy the boutique shops and galleries of Siem Reap.

Day 11 - Angkor Thom & Bayon

Discover the 216 enigmatic smiling faces carved into the stone of Bayon Temple on a fully escorted morning tour of the walled city of Angkor Thom. This evening, dine on tantalizing Khmer cuisine while watching an included Apsara dance performance, a delicate art form that brings ancient temple carvings to life. Stay overnight again at the beautiful Shinta Mani Angkor.

Day 12 - Siem Reap to Kampong Cham (Embarkation)

Transfer through the Cambodian countryside to the banks of the Mekong to board your ship, your elegant floating home for the next seven nights. Settle into your Suite and enjoy a welcome dinner as the ship begins its journey downriver. During your cruise, enjoy complimentary local beer and spirits served with lunch and dinner on board.

Day 13 - Angkor Ban & Koh Pen

Take a guided walking tour through the stilted wooden houses of Angkor Ban, one of the few traditional villages to survive the Khmer Rouge era. Later, hop on a local tuk-tuk to explore the agricultural lanes of Koh Pen island, where farmers grow tobacco, betel nut, and seasonal fruits. Return to the ship for an evening of onboard entertainment.

Day 14 - Phnom Penh, Cambodia

Spend a poignant morning exploring the Killing Fields and Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum to learn about the history and incredible resilience of the Cambodian people. After paying respects at the Memorial Stupa, enjoy a tour of the Royal Palace and the stunning Silver Pagoda, famous for its floor of 5,000 silver tiles. The remainder of your afternoon is free to explore the local markets or relax on board.

Day 15 - Phnom Penh & Vietnam Border Crossing

Enjoy a morning of relaxation on board as your ship cruises toward the international border. While administrative formalities are carried out, you can take part in various onboard presentations and cultural demonstrations. After crossing into Vietnam, the ship continues its journey into the picturesque riverside town of Tan Chau.

Day 16 - Tan Chau, Evergreen Island & Sa Dec

Travel by small boat along the scenic tributaries of Tan Chau before going ashore for an authentic rickshaw tour through the town's rambling laneways. You will visit a local rattan weaving workshop to see traditional crafts in action before stepping back in time on Vinh Hoa, also known as Evergreen Island. Observe local Vietnamese farming practices firsthand before reboarding the ship to cruise toward the quaint town of Sa Dec.

Day 17 - Sa Dec, Cai Be & My Tho, Vietnam

Pass floating fish farms as you travel to Sa Dec to explore its colorful local market and the historic home of Mr. Huynh Thuy Le, the inspiration for Marguerite Duras' L'Amant. In the afternoon, cruise to Cai Be to visit its French Gothic church and local workshops producing rice paper and coconut candy. Tonight, enjoy a special Farewell Dinner on board the as the ship makes its final journey towards My Tho.

Day 18 - My Tho, Cu Chi Tunnels & Ho Chi Minh City

Disembark at My Tho and journey by road to the Cu Chi Tunnels to gain first-hand insight into the immense network of underground passages used during the Vietnam War. Continue to Ho Chi Minh City, the bustling metropolis formerly known as Saigon, where you will begin an Insider Experience stay at Le Méridien Saigon on the banks of the river. This evening, you can choose from a variety of dining options, including a thrilling street food tour by motorbike or a sophisticated meal at Hoi An Sense.

Day 19 - Ho Chi Minh City

Spend the day discovering the vibrant energy of Ho Chi Minh City at your own pace or choose from several select experience options. You might join a walking tour to see the Saigon Opera House and Notre Dame Cathedral, or delve into the city's history at the Reunification Palace and the Burning Monk Memorial. This evening, gather with your fellow travelers for a sumptuous Farewell Dinner to celebrate the conclusion of your journey.

Day 20 - Depart Ho Chi Minh City

Your grand Southeast Asian adventure concludes today following a final breakfast at your hotel. Enjoy a complimentary transfer to Tan Son Nhat International Airport for your onward flight home.
